Per saltire Or and Gules, two crosses patte in pale each charged with a torteau, and a like number of Maltese crosses in fess each bearing a bezant, all counterchanged.
Crest
On a wreath of the colors Or and Gules, in front of two palm branches Vert bound together with a ribbon of the second, a pair of double-open-end wrenches crossed in saltire of the first the handles scarlet and surmounted at center by a cross of four spearheads conjoined overall Gold.

Shield
The shield is in the colors of the Ordnance Corps. The two crosses patte recall that the predecessor organization was cited by the French Army for action at Kasserine and at the Normandy beachhead. The Maltese crosses represent the organization's two citations awarded by the Belgian Army for action at Mons and at Eupen-Malmedy.
Crest
The colors yellow and red, suggested by the national flag of Vietnam, allude to the 701st Maintenance Battalion's participation in eleven campaigns there. The wrenches, symbolic of the maintenance mission, have scarlet handles representing two awards of the Meritorious Unit Commendation. The four spearheads joined together symbolize the Cross of Gallantry and the green palm branches bound in red are in the colors of the Civil Action Honor Medal, two decorations awarded by the Republic of Vietnam.
The coat of arms was originally approved for the 701st Ordnance Battalion on 26 may 1954. It was redesignated for the 701st Maintenance Battalion on 31 January 1964. It was amended to add a crest on 27 September 1972. The coat of arms was redesignated with symbolism amended for the 701st Support Battalion on 5 June 1987.
